Jerzy Faczynski was a Polish Impressionist & Modern artist. After the outbreak of World War II, he served in the aviation on the Hungarian front, was interned, but escaped and got to France, where he joined the Polish Army formed there. After the occupation of France, he evacuated to Great Britain, where he served in the Polish Air Force as a sergeant.
 
Between 1940 and 1967 he had nine individual and twenty-one collective exhibitions. Additionally, he illustrated books, created drawings, graphics, watercolours, oil paintings, stained glass and woodcuts.
