Hugh Ridge was born in Barnstaple, Devon but moved to St. Ives,
Cornwall around 1947. He became an active member of the St Ives Society of
Artists and was Chairman from 1958-1976. From 1947 until his death, he lived
and painted around St Ives. His work was popular and sold nationally and
internationally.
