Dated 1967 - Jammet would have been 9 years old

56 x 43cm approx.

 

Son of Elisabeth Frink and architect Michel Jammet, Lin Jammet started printmaking in 1970s under Julian Trevelyan who was close friends with his mother. Julian Trevelyan taught Etching and History of Art at Chelsea School of Art.

 

Inspirations for some of his work included both Napoleonic wars as well as landscape around Corbès, in the foothills of the Cévennes in the south of France where he grew up.
