Tucker became a member of the Royal Society of British Artists and was a founder member of the Lake Artists’ Society in 1904, later becoming Vice President. Arthur specialised in watercolours, mostly of the Lake District but also of Wales and Yorkshire. Tucker first exhibited at the Royal Academy in 1887, and continued to do so with increasing regularity until 1919. 

 

Arthur Tucker was an accomplished watercolour artist and his work remains sought after by collectors. His paintings are in the collections of leading art galleries such as the Walker Art Gallery in Liverpool and Manchester City Art Gallery.
