Philip Sutton studied under William Coldstream at the Slade School of Fine Art and was elected a Royal Academician in 1988.
 
The works of Philip Sutton are compositions of primary colours in bold areas, a tradition reminiscent of Matisse. The subject matter is secondary in the importance as the composition itself renders the theme. 
 
Condition: Image with strong, bright colours. A discoloured mark down the centre and very slight warpage. Some tiny black dots on the lower blue sea area. No tape residue and overall condition is acceptable to good. Please refer to zoomed in images for further info on condition.
